Sarah
is a graduate of St Mary's University in Twickenham with a degree
in Sports Rehabilitation. Sarah has also completed an ITWC Aromatherapy
Diploma.
What
is a Sports Rehabilitator?
A sports
rehabilitation Graduate is a sports medicine and science specialist
who has undergone a rigorous graduate-level degree programme and has
attained the highest of professional and educational standards.
A Sports Rehabilitator provides a continuum of health-care from the
moment of injury to a full and confident return to full activity,
whether it be recreational activity or the demanding arena of professional
sports.
Background
Since graduating, she has worked for the Occupational Health Department
at Lever Faberge in Kingston, working alongside the physiotherapist
treating sports injuries and other work related to upper-limb disorders.
Sarah has provided high quality rehabilitation to a diverse population,
covering orthopaedic, sports and work-related injuries and disorders
at a number of clinics and sports clubs.
These include work at Esher Green Surgery, Trailfinders Sports Club,
a sports injury clinic in Twickenham, and a personal training company
in the City. She has also worked as a Sports Rehabilitator with Wasps
RFC and Ealing RFC.

• Knee pain and discomfort

• Muscular strains and tears
• Post surgery rehabilitation
• Shoulder pain or dislocations
• Stress and tension
• Tennis or golfers elbow.
Sarah recently went on tour as the massage therapist for pop band "Take That" on their 2006 comeback tour, and was voted number 1 in an article entitled "Six of the Best Masseurs" in the March 2007 issue of "Harpers Bazaar".
Appointments
Routine appointments usually last 30 minutes for rehabilitation.
However, an hour of sports massage or aromatherapy can be booked
too. An initial appointment will last 1½ hours, and subsequent
appointments will last 1 hour.
Sarah is a member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators
and Trainers (BASRaT). This body represents specifically-educated
and trained professionals in healthcare for the physically active.
As a graduate member, Sarah has full professional indemnity and
malpractice insurance cover underwritten by Lloyds of London.
